AI Governance Conferences London 2027: Risk, Assurance and Enterprise AI

How to choose London AI governance events for regulated industries, enterprise risk, assurance and implementation.

By Elena Marković, Women in AI Editorial Fellow · 5 October 2026

London is becoming one of Europe's most useful cities for practical AI governance because the market is unusually cross-functional.

Finance, insurance, law, consulting, technology and government are concentrated closely enough that governance events can bring together the people who actually have to make deployment decisions.

London is an implementation market

UK government guidance recommends strong governance processes and describes AI governance boards, or AI expertise on existing boards, as mechanisms for oversight, accountability and strategic guidance.

That is a management problem, not merely a policy topic.

Look for regulated-industry evidence

Financial services and professional services give London conferences an opportunity to show mature risk practice. Ask whether case studies explain controls, evaluation and accountability rather than only principles.

Technical teams need to be present

Governance becomes useful when engineers can explain what is measurable and risk teams can explain what evidence is required.

Multinational companies need cross-border thinking

London organisations often operate in the EU and US as well. Strong programmes should distinguish UK guidance, EU law and voluntary frameworks such as NIST AI RMF rather than blending them together.

British Business Review's analysis of London's emerging governance economy provides deeper context on why professional services and regulated industries are driving this market.
