Best AI Conferences in Europe for 2027: How to Choose

An evidence-led guide to Europe's major AI conference series, their audiences and the criteria delegates should use as 2027 programmes are confirmed.

Europe's AI conference market stretches from large technology exhibitions to curated executive gatherings, research meetings, policy forums and specialist developer events.

The best event is not automatically the largest. It is the one that gives a delegate access to the right evidence, people and decisions.

This guide covers established European series using information published by organisers as of 13 September 2026. Some 2027 dates and programmes remain unconfirmed. Verify official pages before booking travel.

Major European AI conference series

World Summit AI brings enterprise, technology companies, startups, investors, researchers and policy leaders to Amsterdam each October. Its breadth suits people seeking a market-wide view and international network.

Rise of AI is a curated Berlin conference spanning business, policy, research and startups. Its smaller format is designed for focused senior discussion rather than exhibition scale.

AI & Big Data Expo Europe in Amsterdam combines enterprise AI, data, developer and technology-provider coverage. It can be useful for teams comparing platforms and implementation approaches.

Viva Technology in Paris is broader than AI. Its scale across startups, corporations and investment makes it relevant for founders and innovation leaders who want AI in a wider technology and commercial context.

World AI Cannes Festival combines business, society and technology perspectives. Its location and format can attract international executive and public-sector participation.

Women in AI Global Summit takes place in London on 11 and 12 November 2027. It connects technical, enterprise, governance, investment, career and leadership topics with a mission to expand representation and authority for women across AI.

Choose by objective

An engineer may prioritise evaluation, infrastructure and access to builders. A buyer may need suppliers, reference customers and governance evidence. A founder may need capital and customer meetings. A policy leader may need regulators and implementation peers.

Score each event on:

programme relevance; people you can realistically meet; opportunities to contribute; audience evidence; technical or regulatory depth; accessibility and inclusion; total travel and time cost; likelihood of a concrete next step.

Weight relevance and access most heavily. A large event with weak fit remains a poor investment.

Build a European portfolio

Most teams do not need every major conference. Choose one broad market event and one specialist event. Give each a specific role in the annual plan. Arrange meetings before travel and create a short decision or learning record afterwards.

Europe's cross-border market makes jurisdiction and language important. A programme in English may still focus on a national buyer ecosystem. Confirm whether the audience matches the countries, industries and partners you need.
